American manufacturer Buell have announced the Buell Super Cruiser 1190, designed in partnership with Roland Sands Design.
The Super Cruiser’s proof of concept was previewed at a VIP Reveal Party at Roland Sands Design shop in California on February 10. Buell then shared photographs of the upcoming cruiser to their social media on Saturday.
Bill Melvin, CEO of Buell Motorcycle Co. said: “Building a cruiser was something we always contemplated. The market is full of American manufacturers known mostly for big, heavy bikes – not fast, hot ones like the famous V-twins of the 30s. Our Buell Super Cruiser will be the hottest bike on the market. Period.”
Roland Sand said: “When Bill first approached us about building a high-performance cruiser using the Buell motor, it was as if the bike designed itself.
“Considering the history of Buell and the market’s need for a truly high-performance cruiser, and the build quality of the existing Buell chassis parts, motor, and rolling kit, the project was a natural fit.”
RSD designed the swingarm, suspensions, 17-inch wheels and braking system, which all total in at a weight of 204kg.
The price is still to be confirmed. Learn more on the Buell Motorcycle website.
