The main thing that makes it stand out from the crowd is that it’s waterproof. And not just by adding a waterproof liner. Oh no, it’s better than that. The waterproof membrane is laminated directly to the outer shell of the jacket to stop the jacket getting soggy, and keeping everything under the surface nice and dry. It’s clever stuff, and unlike I was expecting, it doesn’t make the jacket too bulky or heavy – you wouldn’t even know it was there.

There’s a removable 125g thermal full-sleeved liner for cooler days, and vents to let air in on those rare hot summer days. I’m yet to experience the warmer weather with this jacket but it has been great for cooler days.

The pockets are nice and big with waterproof zips. All the fastenings and zips are good-quality items, and everything has been put together nicely. This is a well-made, stylish jacket.

Protection is top-notch with a five-piece D3O armour set pre-fitted (I love it when a jacket comes with a back protector), and a top-level AAA CE-rating.

Overall, this is a great jacket at a reasonable price, with impressive features and a quality finish.
